2010 SOUTH-SOUTH AND NORTH-SOUTH COOPERATION PROGRAM
The Emerging Nations Science Foundation is offering fellowships and travel grants to scientists working in Asia and Africa.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Candidate should not be over 40 years of age on 31 December, 2010;
- Hold a Ph.D. (or equivalent) degree in one of the fields of sciences and/or technology. Applicants who hold only a Master's degree, and have published papers in reputed journals, may also apply;
- Be nationals of a country in Asia or Africa;
- Be enrolled and/or regularly employed at a research and /or teaching institution in their home country where they must hold a research assignment.
Conditions
- Applicants should apply to only one grant per year;
- The grant does not include provisions for accompanying family members;
- Awardees should not take up any other assignment while on a research grant by ENSF, unless stated explicitly in the letter of award;
- Applicants must attach a letter of acceptance from an institution where they are to work on their educational/research projects or attend an international conference;
- There are no deadlines for applications. However, applicants must submit all material required as soon as they receive the acceptance letter from the institution where they are to work or to attend an international conference;
- Incomplete/unsigned applications will not be accepted;
- Applications must be signed either digitally or by including a scanned signature.
