The primary objective of the conference is to present the world with the frontiers of drug discovery & research; from bench side to the clinic. The event will bring together both young and experienced scientists in basic research and clinical science from many different fields worldwide to open up avenues for their meaningful collaboration at regional and global level. The best current research aspects of each field will be reviewed in various sessions of the conference. It is anticipated that a large number of delegates will attend the conference. Apart from these intellectually stimulating sessions, visiting Dubai itself is no less exciting. Surrounded by mysterious deserts, sand dunes and the stunning Hagar Mountains, it is divided by the Creek which is essentially an inlet from the gulf splitting the commercial centre of Dubai in two. Within the city there are located amazing beach resorts, incredibly high tech buildings all side by side with old traditional houses and mosques giving you a fascinating blend of the West with the East. Dubai's innovative and ambitious development has attracted world-wide attention through its magnificent shopping malls, real estate projects, sports events and conferences. Dubai is a fascinating city that is full of vitality, cultural diversity and culinary delights. We hope that the dynamic spirit of Dubai, UAE will provide a conducive milieu in which stimulating scientific exchange can take place amongst leading scientists from all over the world.

2010-2011 Needs Assessment Survey (NAS)

The Emerging Nations Science Foundation is initiating a 'Needs Assessment Survey' (NAS) in the developing nations of Asia and Africa. The purpose of this survey is to quantify and understand specific needs and requirements of science institutions, as well as those of individual scientists working in these developing nations. The output of NAS shall provide ENSF a qualitative and quantitative tool to formulate and implement its strategy for the coming two years, with an eye to streamline its resources and provide funding to projects with the potential for maximum scientific output and economic impact.

Mr. Mohamed Abdallah, a specialist with wide experience, shall provide his expertise for the 'Needs Assessment Survey' and shall also be in-charge of the public realtions office of the Emerging Nations Science Foundation. He is already actively involved in the preparation of NAS background data and planning to make contact with scientists and institutions in the countries of Asia and Africa.
