The Emerging Nations Science Foundation (ENSF) has been officially recognized as a non-profit organization by the Italian authorities on June 04, 2008, as stated in the Presidential Decree no. 0132, approved by the President of the Region of Friuli Venezia-Giulia. The decree and the statute of ENSF are published in the official bulletin “Bollettino Ufficiale Della Regione Autonoma Friuli Venezia Giulia” of June 18, 2008, pp 21-25. It is available online.

Salimuzzaman Siddiqui Prize in Chemistry
The Emerging Nations Science Foundation is instituting a yearly prize consisting of US $5,000 to honour Professor Salimuzzaman Siddiqui and to commemorate his outstanding contribution to chemistry and science education in Pakistan. The first Salimuzzaman Siddiqui Prize in chemical sciences will be awarded on April 14, 2010, for outstanding research achievement in any area of experimental or theoretical chemistry. It is to be awarded to a young researcher of age not more than 40 years and working anywhere in Asia and Africa.
Nominations are invited from individual scientists, science academies, research institutions, universities, and other similar organizations involved in research and education. All relevant documents and nomination forms must reach the ENSF at least six months before the award date of the year. Self-nominations will not be accepted.
Travel Grants
The Emerging Nations Science Foundation is offering a number of travel grants under its South-South Cooperation program for young scientists from Asia and Africa.
